There are many health care and service programs designed for seniors, as well as organizations that will help you find these programs. Kentucky Office of Aging Services The Division of Aging Services provides links to services like adult day care, case management, help with household chores, home care, and transportation. They also connect seniors with other organizations that can help them.

Kentucky Homeplace

Do you live in rural Kentucky and have trouble getting the health care you need? Kentucky Homeplace, a free program, can help you if you are already sick or if you need services like pap smears, mammograms, prenatal care, or immunizations. Kentucky Homeplace can also train you, free of charge, to become a Family Health Care Advisor (FHCA).

Health Information in Kentucky

The Kentucky Cabinet for Health Services has compiled useful resource information about common health issues faced by women, men, and seniors. Women's Health The Office of Women's Physical and Mental Health covers issues from allergies and breast cancer to sleep disorders and teen pregnancy and is an excellent resource.
