Free Computer and Internet Access in Kentucky

Many organizations offer free or low-cost computer classes. Contact the following organizations for more information.

Kentucky Public Libraries
Most of the Kentucky Public Libraries offer free computer and Internet access and many offer computer classes. Click here to find the library closest to you.

Adult Education Centers
Every county in Kentucky has an adult education center. Many of these centers offer classes and have computer labs that are open to the public for activities like job searching, resume writing, and improving your computer skills.

Department of Employment Services and One-Stop Centers
If want to use a computer to create a resume or look for jobs online, most DES offices and One-Stop centers have machines you can use for free. Click here to learn more about these centers and find the one nearest you.

Community Technology Centers
Community Technology Centers offer free computer and Internet access and many offer computer classes as well. Click here to get a list of CTCNet community technology centers in Kentucky.

CenterNet is a regional network in Eastern and Southern Kentucky that offers public access to computers for local residents. Click here to find a CenterNet site near you. The following CenterNet sites that don't offer public access are in Adair County, Clay County, Clinton County, Letcher County, Russell County, and Wolfe County.

Services: They provide public computers with Microsoft programs and access to printers.The lab is open to adults and children in the community, and a lab technician is available for assistance.

Center for Accessible Living

Services: They provide an open computer lab for people with disabilities. Computers have Internet access, Microsoft programs, and resume-building software. Adaptive equipment is not available, but lab technicians are available if you need help.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Call for an appointment first.

Hancock County Development Complex

Services: They have a public computer lab for adults and children. Study programs for Microsoft programs abd GED, SAT, and ACT exams are offered. Trained technicians are available if you need help.
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.

Hours:  Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Call to confirm free computer space.
